Full Review of the Tecno M5 & Price in Kenya

Some of you would remember my post some months ago, last year, on the Tecno M3.

The Tecno M5 is an improved version of the M3. It is dual-SIM and runs on Android Jelly Bean (v4.2.2). It comes with a larger screen which is 4.5 inches (compared to M3’s 3.5”) with a resolution of 480×854 pixels, 218 pixels per inch.

The cameras are better than M3’s cameras. M5 offers a rear 8 megapixels camera with up to 3264×2448 pixel pictures, HDR, face and smile detection plus LED flash. The secondary camera (front) is 1.3MP with up to 1200×1024 pixel pictures.

The processor, 1.3 GHz Dual-Core MT6572 chipset, is amazing. I’m sure one is able to play high quality games while changing in between apps without hanging or even feeling a lag in speed. The phone is very fast.

The battery is improved and now stands at 1800mAH meaning about 12hrs on 2G and 10hrs on 3G.

The accelerometer, proximity sensor, compass and the Ambient light sensors are still in place like in the M3.

I have only touched on the improvements made. Everything otherwise concerning the M3 is in the M5.
