After fully acquiring Nokia’s Phone business, Microsoft decided to do away with the ‘Nokia Lumia’ brand to the new ‘Microsoft Lumia’. And this  low cost phone is their very first phone: The Microsoft Lumia 535.

Microsoft Lumia 535This is a low cost, affordable phone with very decent specifications that just might intrigue many people. We hope it will be available in Kenya soon enough since the Lumia 530 has only been introduced to the market a few weeks ago.

Lumia 535 focuses on a lot of 5s. From the 5 inch screen and to the 5MP Wide Angle Selfie Camera then to the 15GB free storage included. Jo Harlow of Microsoft says that it’s part of a 5x5x5 proposition from the company, a mission to get the best of Microsoft into the hands of consumers for an affordable price.

The phone comes running Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim on a Quad Core Snapdragon™ 200 Processor clocked at 1.2Ghz. It is an IPS LCD 5 inch screen with qHD Display resolution and 220ppi. The RAM is 1GB and internal storage is 8GB expandable to 128GB with an external SD card. Remember 15GB cloud storage is included.

The rear camera is also 5MP with LED flash and Auto Focus and auto uploads to OneDrive. Yes Cortana is included if you’re wondering. And the battery is 1905mAh.
