Samsung Galaxy Core Prime Specifications & Price in Kenya

This is an improvement to the Galaxy Core 2. Prime phones are supposed to be beefed up in terms of specs and performance. Here is the Galaxy Core Prime:

Samsung Galaxy Core Prime

It looks exactly like the Galaxy Core 2. It is a 4.5 inch display phone with the same 207ppi pixel density as in the Core 2. They could have done better with the resolution, I still think so. 207 is really low in 2014(5).

It runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat which is an upgrade from Android 4.4.2 Kitkat in the Galaxy Core 2. The Internal Storage is 8GB which improves on the 4GB in the Core 2. Total plus here.

It has 1GB RAM and a Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 Processor. Remember the Core 2 had only 768MB of RAM. Meaning the Core Prime thoroughly outshines the Core 2.

Though the rear camera remains 5MP, it is now capable of shooting 720p videos. The Core 2 did 480p videos. I really hope the camera quality has been improved. Pictures appeared awful when taken with the Core 2 Camera.

The front camera is now 2MP up from the awful 0.3MP.

The battery remains 2000mAh. Why didn’t they make it even 2330mAh?

Anyway, between the Core 2 and the Core Prime, the Core Prime is the phone you should go with. Even the pricing is almost the same! The Core Prime ranges between Ksh. 13,000 and Ksh. 16,000.

This phone automatically joins the list of Best Phones Under 20K.

What do you think of the phone?
