TECNO Camon 16 Premier Launching Soon; Expected Specifications.

Update: Camon 16 Premier Unboxing:

It hasn’t even been 6 months since the launch of the Camon 15 Series, but TECNO is already sending out information on the coming release of the Camon 16 Series. And what’s more, the company is launching the first device in the series – the Camon 16 Premier – in just 1 week: on the 3rd of September.

The company says that sales are expected to go live on September 4th. However, they have not made available the specifications of the phone – so currently all we can do is speculate based on images. And from the images, you must have seen the uncanny resemblance to the Infinix Zero 8 which I’ve recently unboxed.

Given TECNO and Infinix normally re-brand their devices and then pit them against each other, we can expect the Camon 16 Premier to either be the same exact phone as the Infinix Zero 8 in terms of specs, or to have the same look but different variations in specifications, and rear design. The front, however, looks to be the same.

Look at the images shared here of the Camon 16 Premier, and compare them to the Infinix Zero 8. They look so similar. Same placement of front dual cameras, same placement of the fingerprint scanner on the side, and of the volume keys. We just can’t see the camera design at the back.

TECNO has already confirmed there will be two models in the new series: the Camon 16 Premier, and the Normal Camon 16. There could be a Camon 16 Air, but maybe later on.

The company has started teasing the device with the “Pioneer King is here” tagline. Hopefully, this isn’t just big marketing words. If so, then it means the company could be bringing in new tech pointing out to the 90Hz refresh rate we’ve seen on the Infinix Zero 8.

Based on the look of the device, rumors online, and the trends we’ve seen with recent launches, I’ve compiled a list of the expected specifications of the Camon 16 Premier.

Here are the specifications of the Camon 16 Premier:

  • A Full HD display – may support 90Hz refresh rate
  • A 64MP main rear sensor with three extra sensors
  • Dual selfie cameras with main 48MP sensor
  • 4500MAh battery
  • Fast charging between 25W and 33W
  • USB Type-C
  • Helio G90T Processor
  • 8GB RAM
  • 64/128GB storage options

  1. Côté batteries, je trouve que c’est un peu plus fiable puisque j’utilise un spark 3 pro avec 3500mAh, je trouve ca resistant, j’apprécie plutôt le design, courage a vous

  2. These people are just plain confused.. Okay fine, even if you want to launch a new phone that will definitely have same spec with that of the Infinix Zero 8, why not do it on the Phantom lineups?

To make matters worse, not that these phones will even get a single update to the newest Android version.. I don’t blame them though, because people will always buy their crap..

Before the year runs out or even as early as early next year, boom, you will see Tecno Camon 17..

    What the hell is wrong?

  3. Also consider the phon size men isikuwe ndogo Kama Canon 15.
Alaf kwa colours mueke black inavutia Sana
    Curved edge screen

  4. Nize Concept, But Battary Mah Should be bigger than Camon 15, which is Tecno biggest Battary phone for now
