Infinix NOTE 10 Pro Camera Review

The Infinix NOTE 10 Pro is a great device. I think we already established that in my video review which you can check out at the bottom of this article. For its price – KES 25,99 – the NOTE 10 Pro is a no-brainer pickup for everyone looking for a powerful phone, with a great display, and excellent battery life. But those aren’t all its good features: the cameras are also quite impressive at this price point.

The thing you should remember when reading this – and any other – review is that I am treating the NOTE 10 Pro based on its price. If it were more expensive, things would be so different. However, Infinix nailed the pricing, meaning all the features feel very well thought out.

As someone who uses many different phones, I’ve definitely seen better photos from many different smartphone cameras. I wouldn’t want to tell you these are the best cameras you can get, they’re not. However, they’re the best cameras ever on an Infinix NOTE device. Actually, I feel confident saying they’re the best cameras on any Infinix phone to date.

At the back, there’s a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP monochrome sensor. As usual, the extra sensors don’t feel very important. I’ve tried out the ultra-wide and it is annoyingly different in quality compared to the main sensor. So, for most of your shots, you will stick to the 64MP sensor.

What I like about the camera interface is that Infinix has made it much easier to know what you’re doing. So if you want to take a full 64MP photo, you can do it in a single click. The same applies on things like changing lenses, switching AI on and off, and much more. For those who love Google Lens, it is still built-in.

At the front, there’s a 16MP selfie shooter. It is good. Infinix remains one of the few companies that put a front LED flash to help with selfies at night. The flash gets really bright, is well hidden such that you can’t tell it’s even there, and can be used – thanks to Infinix’s Social Turbo feature – to increase light when making video calls in the dark.

In the future, I’d like to see Infinix work on their colour science a little more. I believe the lenses on their phones are pretty good. It’s only the computation that needs some tweaking. If that’s done, we will see very good pictures – because the hardware is already more than capable.

Now let’s see photos taken by the Infinix NOTE 10 Pro, so that you can know what to expect from these cameras.

Please note that these pictures have been compressed for online upload, and are not the true sizes taken by the cameras – those would be over 5MBs in some instances.

What are your thoughts on the cameras? Do the pass for you at this price point? And what would you like to see done differently?
