Vivo Y21 is now available in Kenya for KES 16,999

Vivo has officially announced the availability of its latest Y-series model, the Vivo Y21, in the Kenyan market. The company says the midrange phone features high-end specs plus a number of tweets that are meant to drive a wave of smartphone revolution in the country.

The new Vivo Y21 comes with a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Itis only 8mm thin, and has a 2.5D curved finish. The company says the phone is lightweight and offers a premium, comfortable hold.

The Vivo Y21’s display is 6.51 inches with a resolution of 1600x720p. It is powered by the Mediatek Helio P35 and packs 4GB RAM, which is extendable by 1GB Virtual RAM as we’d explained here.

At a price point of KES 16,999, Vivo says the smartphone aims to drive smartphone affordability inclusion in the country to SMEs and the youth. According to the Brand Manager Mr James Irungu, the brand seeks to bring quality products with fast focusing speed for all market.

“We seek to continue creating products with high performance and trendsetting design at an affordable price, the Vivo Y21 will be an exciting model that covers the key aspects yet affordable.’’
