Fuel prices remain unchanged from November to 14th December

Fuel Prices Reduce by KES 5 in January-February 2024 Review Diesel Subsidies Removed: Fuel Prices Surge by Up to KES 15

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced that fuel prices in Kenya will remain unchanged between November and 14th December 2021. The Authority says the prices are inclusive of the 8% Value Added Tax (VAT) in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2018, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2020 and the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation as per Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020.

According to the statement form the Authority, Landed costs have increased between September and October significantly. However, despite the increase, the applicable fuel prices won’t change as the Government will utilise the Petroleum Development Levy to cushion customers from high prices.
