The Infinix Hot S whose launch we’ve been speculating and anticipating for quite some time now, is finally available on Jumia Nigeria. Meaning it will be available everywhere soon. So Kenyans will be getting it maybe next week.
The price listed on Jumia.com.ng is 45500 naira, which by the current exchange rates, is approximately Ksh. 15000. I am not sure that’s the real price or a pre-order reserve. If the phone is Ksh. 15000 only, then this will be big. I thought it would cost somewhere between 18 and 20k.
It looks like Infinix will be pushing this phone as a camera phone with not only good physical lenses, but also a good software camera experience including video editing templates.
The Specs have been confirmed as:
- 5.2 inches full HD Display
- 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage (there’s a 3GB/32GB version)
- A 1.5Ghz Octa Core processor
- Android 6.0 Marshmallow with XOS
- 3000mAh battery
- 13MP back camera
- 8MP front camera – the front camera looks serious
- Fingerprint scanner
There’s nothing said on the VR Kit expected.
Let’s wait and see when the phone launches in Kenya, the price, and what it brings.
