TECNO L9 Plus comes with a 5000mAh battery for 72hrs on Single Use

This is pure madness. As smartphones promise 8 to 10hrs screen-on time, the TECNO L9 Plus is saying you can use the device for 72hrs on a single charge.

Such a claim needs to be backed up with a full review. If I get the device, I’ll make sure to update you on its 72hrs use claim. Nonetheless, 5000mAh battery is real power!

Here are the specifications of the TECNO L9 Plus:

• 1.3GHz Quad Core Processor
• 2GB RAM
• 16GB internal storage (expandable)
• 5MP Front camera
• 13MP back camera
• 3G networks only
• 5000mAh battery
• Android 7.0 Nougat with HiOS
• Fingerprint scanner
• Thin design at just 7.9mm

These are good specs. But the display and the lack of 4G is what would keep me from buying this device. It would have nice (at Ksh. 17,000) to include 4G and a better display.

The lack of a 1080p display makes the Infinix Note 3 a better bet. And the Note 3 Pro safer with 4G support. But still that doesn’t in any way take away the glory of the L9 Plus’s 5000mAh battery compared to the Note 3’s 4500mAh.

What are your thoughts on this device?

I’m sure that battery and that display is what makes them claim 72hrs of usage.
