Infinix Hot 4

This is the best you can get under 10k I believe. Originally it comes running Android 6 Marshmallow but Infinix have updated it to Android 7 Nougat. It is a 5.5 inch HD smartphone that supports 4G networks, has 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 8MP good back camera and a fingerprint scanner included. Battery is 4000mAh. Buy it from Jumia for Ksh. 9199

TECNO C7

You can now get last year’s TECNO Camon C7 at just less than 10k. The front and back cameras being each 13MP is a big plus especially in the wake of the Camon CX Air. It has 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and 2500mAh. Buy it from Jumia for Ksh. 9840

Infinix Hot 4 Lite:

This is a cheaper version of the Hot 4. It is 5.5 inches HD, runs Marshmallow with 1GB RAM, doesn’t support 4G networks. Has no fingerprint scanner. But is still a very good phone with 4000mAh. Buy it from Jumia.

TECNO W5 Lite:

There’s a powerful TECNO W5 and this is the lite version. If you want a good looking smartphone under 10k, this is the one. Screen is 5.5 HD, has 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13MP back camera with 300mAh battery. Buy it from Jumia for Ksh.8399

TECNO W1

TECNO W1 is a 4 inch WVGA smartphone with 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, Android 7 Nougat and a 1800mAh battery for only Ksh. 5000. Buy it from Jumia.

iTel s31

This one directly competes with the W5 Lite. It has good cameras and you’ll find it in iTel shops countrywide.

Cubot Manito

If you care about RAM size but are short of cash, this is the device with 3GB RAM under 10k. The interpolated cameras maybe the only deal-breaker. Buy it from Kilimall.

Innjoo Halo X

Still on my list this one because of its crazy good specs at less than 10k. If only they updated the Android version. But you get 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 8MP camera and 3000mAh batter for Ksh. 7699. Buy it from Jumia.

Fero Royale X1

This one is mad. For Ksh. 9999 you get 3GB RAM, 16GB storage, 5 inch HD, 4G connectivity, 13MP back camera and 5MP front camera, and a 4000mAh battery. It supports 4G networks and supports 5GHz WiFi. Buy it from Jumia.

Xtigi vision6

This one even comes with a VR Kit of sorts. 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13MP back camera, and a 4100mAh battery. It is 6 inches HD. Buy it from Jumia.

Fero Pace

There’s 1GB RAM, 16GB Storage, 5.5 HD Screen, 2800mAh battery, 8MP back, 5MP front cameras and runs Android Marshmallow. Buy from Jumia.

Fero Iris

The best thing about this is you get a real working Iris scanner (yes like that one on the Samsung S8) for just Ksh. 6999. It also supports 4G networks. Buy it from Jumia.

Wiko Lenny 3

Because I appreciated the design and battery of this device. It runs Android Marshmallow. Find it on Jumia.

Samsung J1 Mini

I have to have a Samsung device in this list. For Ksh. 7599, you get a 4 inch Super AMOLED screen, Android Lollipop and a 1500mAh battery. It supports 4G networks. Buy it from Jumia.
