This will be different, and very short since I have addressed everything about the Infinix S4 in the video review (embedded below). I have talked about the design, the display, performance, battery life and its cameras. It is quite a long video at 12 mins, but it was the best I could do without leaving out any other pieces of information.
The video review also has sample images taken using all the three cameras at the back of the device, and a video sample of the 32MP selfie camera (to answer everyone who was asking if it can be used for making videos). I’ve discussed the fact that the wide angle lens is not very wide compared to other wide angle cameras, and the fact that the camera UI makes it had to switch to wide angle.
There’s a lot of talk on XOS too because I happen not to like what Infinix have done with XOS Cheetah v5.0.0. It is still full of annoying ads and unwanted apps. The icons used are cartoonish, and it sort of makes the phone feel cheap, something no one wants.
Before you watch the video, here’s a gallery showcasing the nice design of the Infinix S4:

What are your thoughts on the new S4? Do you think it is worth your money? Do you have anything better in mind? Would you get it, or would you choose something else? This device will definitely be on my Best Under 15k list, coming up soon now that this review is done.

The phone seems good but I noticed something. When your charge your phone and let’s say you sleep around 10pm and wake up around 7am, your battery drains from 100% to about 65%. According to the phone records, charging stopped around 4 hours ago. This is 7am which means as at 3am, the battery was 100%. I woke up to 87% and I cannot see what is eating the battery. My Camon 11 pro doesn’t do like this. It remains at 100% when I wake up. I cannot understand why S4 can’t remain at 100%.
Advice Needed
Which one should I go for….. Infinix S4 or Samsung Galaxy A20… Please
Hi Dickson
Can you talk about the camera settings and maybe take a small video showing us on how to set the camera cause its abit complicated
Nice phone , has better resolution, faster Android system(pie),however the phone takes centuries for a fully charge and doesn’t take last with the charge due to heating whenever the data is on. Am now an IOS user and l love it more so from iphone 7plus
Can you tell us how long it lasted for it to drain (100-0 or any close figure)? You can check from the battery menu in Settings. Please add the Screen-on time. How long (in hours) does it take to fully charge?
The battery lasts, mine goes for like 14hrs to get to 15 %
Hi Dickson,
I really liked this review, I bought S4 2 weeks ago I really like it is stylish plus I got purple color of my choice.
However what pisses me of is it has no gallery and it takes ages to charge… Then the never ending adds I have tried to uninstall Visha and Scopper but the adds still pop up very irritating I would say…. plus I cannot crop my pics… I have used zero 5 pro I would say is is a better phone than this even pic and video camera zero 5 takes it home…. I guess am done with Infinix phones…
I have s4 and you can crop your pics and i have seen pics from zero 5 pro and s4 camera is better than that .zero 5 pro portrait camera aint so cool it looks like youve Photoshop a picture then you’ll have to edit the pics to contain the brightness displayed on your phone .cause in zero 5 pro it looks good but when you view the same pic on a different handset it looks awkward.but s4 the pic mantains its display in all handsets
Hello, wonderful piece of work by Infinix, i am definitely buying the 6Gb, 64Gb ROM, purple phone at the end of month. This phone tempted me to sell my note 5 x604 and purchase it. It’s my phone of choice while waiting for an Infinix phone with Android 10 to hit the market later.
