A few hours ago, I shared a post about the upcoming Phantom phone without knowing the official name they’d go with, or the phone’s specifications.

Under-the-display fingerprint scanner…

However, TECNO Kenya has since confirmed the name, and availability in Kenya, saying the device is expected to go on sale in the second week of July. Pricing is yet to be announced. But since we now know the full specs, we can estimate a price point of between Ksh. 24,000 and Ksh. 28,000.

It looks eerily similar to the amazing Huawei P30 Lite as you can see. The differences here being the under-the-display fingerprint scanner, the AMOLED display and the processor. Of course, if I get a review unit, I will want to compare the two devices.

What are your thoughts and expectations? I personally have questions about the Helio P35 as it is not a very powerful chip. I do not understand how it will support 3 lenses.

I also cannot wait to see the device in real life as renders aren’t always 100 percent correct and there could be things we currently don’t see.

  1. Dickson I think you got the chipset wrong, you claim the P35 has high performance A73 cores while it really doesn’t, only A53s( I use a xiaomi mi play, has the chip, I know this for a fact). If the chip has A73s, it must be either the P60 or P70. I honestly hope they used the P60 or P70. It that’s not the case, then the phone will be too slow at that price range. If that’s not the case, then they should fire whomever decides on the chips they use, they do a terrible job. They ruined the phantom series after the awesome 6 and 6+, the launched a downgraded 8 and did the same with the camon 11 after the awesome cx and X upgrades.

    1. No
If its helio p60, p70, or p90 its beta
But imagine a whole tecno flagship with p35, hahahah way too ridiculous

  2. Are you guys sure that the memory capacity as said is true? Because when spark k7 was out, I thought everything written about it was true… I finally found out that the phone was not like the words they used to advertise it.

  3. Battery capacity doesn’t matter, what matters is the phone’s power management system. With that of 3500mah and being Amoled display phone, the battery can last for two days

  4. So many people are saying battery problem that it low 3500 let me tell you it can be 3500 and still be better than phones at 4000 my main point this phone is a scam 6/128?? So it a scam with that processor p35 it a very let down if you want a gaming phone and better and faster phone let me know your budget all Nigeria phones are scams can help contact me on 08180911172 whatsapp

    1. Lol when you know that you are real man that have brain like this why you don’t build a phone and sell it j touch you are the scamm, ?

  5. This is a let down to tecno as you can see what phantom 9 has to offer. Nothing new comparing with what is in the market now. Now that Samsung are into the midrange market with the likes of A30, A50…… A70 with more better specs, I bet they’ll not shift the game to their side.
