The new Infinix NOTE 6 will be launched anytime soon in Nigeria, and Uganda. As such, we can expect it to be available in Kenya soon for a recommended retail price of between Ksh. 17,500 and Ksh. 19,999. I’m thinking just about 18500 is right for the specs below.
From the specs, I can see a lot of similarity between the new NOTE 6 and the new TECNO Phantom 9 which we also expect to launch in the next few days locally. They have the same camera setup, the same Helio P35. They also both have an AMOLED display, though Infinix’s resolution maxes out at 720p while the Phantom 9’s is 1080p.
Last year’s NOTE 5 was an Android ONE device. And I really liked that. There’s no talk of that this year, and I am kind of disappointed. An Android ONE variant would be really good, and would also mean guaranteed faster updates to newer versions of Android.
I am not sure if there will be two variants: one with the PEN and one without. I think, given the promo video below, this year perhaps we’ll see a single version that features the PEN.
Here’s the official announcement video from Infinix’s Nigeria account:
These are the full specifications of the new Infinix Note 6. They will be updated incase any information may be wrong.

Does the note 6 support onscreen fingerprint unlock feature…The rear mounted one is an old feature in this era!!
Compared to the trash Tecno Phantom 9 being sold at #77000. I mean do they plan to run an onscreen fingerprint scanner using a MediaTek Helio P35. Even Helio P70 is not ad powerful as Kirin 710F, not to mention onscreen fingerprint haven’t been perfected by the pioneers ( Huawei and Samsung, but mostly Huawei). How then will a rubbish Brand like Tecno perfect it. What a joke, not to mention that HIOS is a terrible software. Guys just 4get Tecno and Infinix.
Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is a better value than any Infinix or Tecno device. The advantage of having the Huawei Y9 Prime are 6.59 Ultra FullView Display, (4GB,128GB), Huawei Powerful HiSilicon Kirin 710F, Triple AI cameras ( AI cameras were pioneered by Huawei, then brands like Tecno and Infinix copied Huawei), Popup Camera. All this for $250.
The note 6 is a full disappointed Helio p23 not Helio p35
Infinix hot 7 pro is better but it has not arrived in kenya.
why the new Infinix phones are not having Xhide like hot 4,hot 5,and Note 4. Though Infinix X606 (Hot 6) has Xhide but the Xhide is not good as X559C (hot 5) Xhide .
I use the note 5 stylus. Very solid device, mostly due to Android one. I think most note 5 users will skip this one..
Good to see the use of an AMOLED screen at this price point though at a lower resolution. Otherwise price per specs comparison, It’s getting beat by the competition, mainly the redmi 7 (ignoring the even better redmi note 7 and even the 6pro) , cheaper and more powerful Soc, huawei and oppo. Lets see how well it competes, otherwise, I don’t think I’d recommend it.
The RAM is disappointingly low though. I’d give it a pass. Doesn’t excite.
