The Huawei Y9 Prime launched early last year is currently receiving Android 10 based EMUI 10 Update. This is great news for everyone with one of the most popular Huawei phones from last year. It also goes a long way to prove what Huawei had said earlier when the American Ban was effected – that they will keep updating their already launched devices.
EMUI 10 brings a couple of new things: of course Android 10 goodness is here. There’s now Dark Mode, new animations, and the promise of fast response times.
Check your phone for the update. If you have the HiCare app, check under updates. You can also manually go to Settings > System > Software updates. The update is live in India, and should also be available in Kenya and other regions
I haven’t used my Y9 Prime in a while, so I’m currently updating to the November security patch. I will update this post in case I see the EMUI 10 Update.
