Update: Phone now available in Kenya for KES. 18,499 RRP
Huawei’s latest announced phone is a budget smartphone we estimate to cost around KES. 16000 should it launch in Kenya. It is an upgrade to last year’s Y7 Prime, and is another attempt by the company to sort re-model already existing devices in order to be able to sell phones with Google Apps through the ongoing American ban. For its specs, if Huawei price it well on launch, it’ll be a sure hit. I just wish it came with USB type-C.
