How is Samsung’s Galaxy S20 Ultra different from other S20 Models?

Samsung has today announced the Galaxy S20 series which is made up of three new phones:

  • Galaxy S20
  • Galaxy S20+
  • Galaxy S20 Ultra

While we are used to two flagships for the S series, this is the first time Samsung has decided to have a third variant. And they’ve opted for the title ULTRA and not PRO.

It packs crazy specs. The numbers are overwhelming. And it looks to be one of, if not, the best phone of the year. But that’s too early to say since we don’t know what other companies will be working on, and releasing in the course of the year.

The S20 Ultra features a very sophisticated camera system. There’s a 108MP Main lens, a 48MP periscope lens, a 12MP ultra wide angle lens, and a 0.3MP depth sensor. The 48MP periscope lens is what allows the phone to be able to do 100X hybrid zoom – which is the craziest zoom on a smartphone camera to date.

The S20 Ultra also packs 16GB of RAM – which is basically getting into certain ‘PRO’ laptop areas. This is a huge leap in both specs and perception as to what smartphone power is.

With the S20 Ultra, you’re getting a powerful phone, with a huge display, and to power all that you get a huge 5000mAh battery. You can fast charge that with a supported 45W fast charger where Samsung promises 0-100% in 74mins.
