OPPO has announced a new budget phone called the OPPO A31. This is currently available for the Indonesian market, but we know it’ll most probably be made available for other markets including Kenya later on.
The biggest drawback of the device is that it is launching in February 2020 while running Android 9 Pie out of the box, and given OPPO’s track record with sending out updates, it may never receive Android 10. Hopefully, OPPO fixes that, and updates the device if they plan on launching it in Kenya.
At the back there’s a triple camera setup with a 12MP main shooter, a 2MP for portraits, and a 2MP for macro shots.
The device is powered by a Helio P35 processor with a 4320mAh battery. There’s one RAM and storage option: 4GB RAM, and 128GB storage. It runs Android 9 Pie of course with OPPO’s ColorOS 6.1 skin on top. Notably, there’s Bluetooth 5.0.
