Both TECNO and Infinix have new phone series that are already on sale across the country. You can pick them online from both companies’ recommended shops, or from site provided down below.
This is a quick post to help you out when picking a device between the many phones in the new series. Variety is good, but it can also be confusing. For example, there are 4 variants in the Camon 15 series, and though there are 2 variants on the NOTE 7 series, there are actually 3 different phones.
Okay here’s a breakdown of Camon 15 Series:
- Camon 15 Premier – with a 64MP camera
- Camon 15 PRO – Not officially available locally, but has a 48MP camera
- Camon 15 Normal – also with a 48MP camera
- Camon 15 Air – whose specs are yet to be made official
And here’s a breakdown of Infinix NOTE 7 Series:
- Infinix NOTE 7 – 4GB RAM with 64GB storage
- Infinix NOTE 7 – 6GB RAM with 128GB storage
- Infinix NOTE 7 Lite – 4GB RAM with 64GB storage.
So, which one should you pick between these 7 phones? Well, the table below will explain to you the exact specs of the devices to help you decide which phone both suits your needs and meets your budget.
What is important to note is this:
- Infinix NOTE 7 6GB RAM model, and NOTE 7 Lite both offer best value for money in all these devices.
- Infinix NOTE 7 has the most powerful processor – beats the Camon 15 Premier’s and is best for people who game
- Camon 15 Premier has a very premium look and design – Also is the only device with a FULL HD display here
- Camon 15 Premier has a 32MP pop up selfie camera – only pop up device here
- Infinix NOTE 7 has both a 5000mAh battery plus 18W fast charging – The Camon 15 Series trades size for fast charging.
- Infinix NOTE 7 has the largest display on a phone in this budget range currently
- All phones in the Infinix NOTE 7 series have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner
Which would I go for and why: well, from the 7 points above, it is obvious Infinix has the upper hand with the NOTE 7. Which one would you go for? First check this table:

Highly unprofessional review. It wasn’t an experience based comparison rather just online bookish comparison….Wasted my time by reading this review
Me I go for Tecno it’s the best phones and never disappoints you I had Tecno L 8 since 2017 and now I bought Tecno camon 15 premier and it’s the best so Tecno is number one.
Me writer, u sound bias. As for me Tecno smartphones remains the best smartphone choice for me. Infinix phones are not reliable , talking from experience
Infinix all the way..
The Infinix is Leagues better that the Tecno
Well both are good but as for me I prefer infinix products cuz its more reliable
Absolutely right. In times later the infinix always hung and that’s the big problem of infinix
Thanks for this review. I actually thought of getting a Tecno product but I think I will go for Infinix.
Tecno’s choice for processors is laughable at best. No one should pay 15,000 or more for a phone that doesn’t feature high performance cores, heck my Xiaomi redmi note 3 pro from 2016 is more powerful than this thing. Can’t even compare with my redmi note 8, this is laughable at best. This thing will be obsolete in a year, but being a Tecno, there will probably be a canon 16, or 25? 55? 5000? Who even knows how they name their devices??!!, By June, with the same helio p22/p35 with 2015 performance to match.
Thanks for the review
I’d rather wait for the Redmi note 9s I which I think should be cheaper than the Camon 15 premier or even buy the K20. Transsion were a great option before oppo, xiaomi and vivo came to the market. The Redmi note 8 and 8 pro offer better value to even the infinix note 7. Better software support and cameras
Good but Transsion is known to making Tecno devices better than they do make Infinix and iTel devices.Infinix note 7 despite it having MTK hello G70 processor, it’s still a very unreliable device compared to Tecno.Infinix devices are known to freeze, hung and even die for no apparent reason.Thats why Infinix has lost it’s popularity in recent years.I think the different ODMs of the two devices are better than each other.
