Vivo has announced that the Vivo Y30 will be coming to Kenya as soon as next week. This comes a month after they launched the Vivo V19, an upper mid-range device. Vivo says the Y30 brings a “winning formula” with good specs, and an expected moderate price tag.
Concerning the company’s continued push into the very competitive market, Mr. Arthur Xian, vivo Kenya CEO, highlighted the company’s efforts to make what he calls revolutionary smartphones that will usher smartphone enthusiasts into an era of endless possibilities on mobile devices and exceptional photography experiences.
The Vivo Y30 features a 6.47-inch HD+ display with 720×1560 resolution. With the reduced bezels, the device achieves an 82.9% screen-to-body ratio. The device which runs on Android 10 has 4GB RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. There’s a quad-camera setup, a 5000mAh battery with 10W fast charging, with USB Type-C finally.
We expect a price point of about KES. 21,000 where it will be competing with recent launches from Xiaomi, Huawei, and Samsung. The full specifications of the device are detailed below.
