HMD Global has today announced the availability of the new Nokia 5.4 in the Kenyan market. The company says the new handset has been designed to help people manage their increasingly busy lives while catering to the growing side-hustle trend.
Gopher Ogembo, Senior Business Manager, Kenya & East Africa at HMD Global said, “With the Nokia 5.4 we wanted to combine high performance with great value and offer more with this phone. I like to think we set the bar for what mid-range phones should offer, so it’s hugely important to me to design phones that not only perform but are also secure and built to last. Being built to last is about much more than craftsmanship, it’s the ongoing maintenance and updates. Whether you’re powering an electric car or a Nokia handset, understanding that software updates are vital to ensuring your tech’s performance is crucial. I’m proud to say that we are one of the firms who do this best.”
The company says the Nokia 5.4 champions speed and performance at an amazing value and is the perfect partner for budding photographers. As the company explains, the signature quad-camera stamps out shutter lag completely and has been upgraded to 48 megapixels. According to Nokia, with the 5.4, treasured videos will look richer with professional colour grading for a cinematic feel to your home and work movies.
HMD claims both the back camera and the front 16MP front camera allows you to take stunning photos and videos. The main camera’s ultra-wide lens takes in the bigger picture and is perfect for expansive landscape shots. Meanwhile, the depth and macro cameras will get those portraits and close-up snaps just right.
When shooting content, HMD says they’ve emulated the experts for a new feature called ‘Cinema’ mode that captures 24fps (the film industry standard) and allows users to shoot content in 21:9 cinematic format.
As usual, HMD is pitching the new device as having two-day battery life, which is thanks to the AI-assisted adaptive battery technology that prioritises power to things that the device deems as of importance to you.
The company also keeps with the promise of Android Updates stating that the Nokia 5.4 is Android 11 ready and will receive three years of monthly security updates, and two years of software upgrades.
According to HMD, these are the main standout features of the Nokkia 5.4:
- 4000mAh battery
- 3 years of security updates
- Tough polycarbonate body
- 48MP main camera
- 0 shutter lag
- 60FPS recording
