Unboxing Video:
TECNO is set to launch the Camon 19 Series soon. We are sure that there will be a couple of devices with one of the called the “Camon 19 Pro”. We are also privy to information that there will be a Camon 19 supporting 5G networks. However we don’t know if that will the PREMIER model or what naming scheme they’ll use.
As a user and lover of the Camon 18 Premier, the new Camon 19 Pro will be the device replacing that. TECNO has kept most of the features similar including using the same Helio G96 chipset.
The display is now slightly bigger, and still support for 120Hz refresh rates with 360Hz touch sampling. There’s no under-display fingerprint scanner with TECNO opting once again for a side-mounted scanner.
In terms of cameras, there’s a 64MP main camera at the back. This time there’s no periscope lens like we saw with the Camon 18 Premier. Instead, there’s a 50MP portrait camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. It will be interesting to see how these two lens perform.
At the front, the 32MP camera remains with dual flash.
The phone comes with 8GB RAM, 256GB internal storage, a 5000mAh battery supporting 33W fast charging and Android 12 out of the box.
TECNO will be launching the Camon 19 series on June 14th atop New York City’s Iconic Rockefeller Center. In Kenya, the launch will be happening on June 20th as was announced during the unveiling of Otile Brown as a Brand Ambassador for the device, and the Chief Design Officer.
Pre-orders for the device are currently open.
