The new Range Rover L460 is now available in Kenya
Inchcape Kenya has today launched the Range Rover L460 in the market. Dubbed the “most desirable SUV”, the L460 will be available in Kenya in four variants:
- Range Rover High Standard Equipment (HSE)
- Range Rover Autobiography
- Range Rover SV
- Range Rover First Edition – only available in the first year of manufacture.
This adds to the lineup of luxury SUVs the company offers under its Jaguar Land Rover franchise. The vehicle is now available for purchase in Kenya at the Inchcape’s Land Rover showroom. You can check out more information on the vehicle and its various configurations here.
The new lineup will be available with a choice of powerful Ingenium 4.4 litre V8 petrol and a 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine that have an electric super charger.
The vehicle’s body is 50% stiffer than before, creating a safe and strong body designed to accommodate the new 23-inch wheels – a first for Land Rover – and 815mm diameter wheel combinations.
Additional features include
- Adaptive Cruise Control and
- Steering Assist which smooth out body movements resulting from sudden changes in speed,
- Headrest speakers with next-generation noise cancellation and
- Clean Air Technology that significantly reduces odours and viruses – creating one of the quietest, most relaxing, luxury travelling experience yet.
Speaking during the media launch event held at the Jaguar Land Rover Showroom, Inchcape Africa Managing Director, Francis Agbonlahor, noted that the vehicle upholds its reputation of pioneering innovation with the suite of technologies designed to enhance convenience, efficiency and safety.
“The new Range Rover has an advanced Pivi Pro infotainment system that provides immediate start-up and its complemented by a 13.1-inch Interactive Driver Display screen with high-definition graphics and configurable layout” said Mr. Agbonlahor
He further noted that “The customers’ comfort and convenience are guaranteed in the new Range Rover. The vehicle leverages lessons learned over 50 years of evolution and combines them with cutting edge technologies to deliver comfort at every turn. It features the most sophisticated chassis technology of any vehicle. The integrated chassis control system monitors the road up to 2.5km ahead and prepares for corners using navigation and speed data. It can adjust the suspension at speed to ensure maximum comfort and efficiency”.
Also present at the Customer launch event held at her Nairobi residence was the UK High Commissioner, Jane Marriott, who noted that “The automotive industry in Kenya continues to be of importance to the UK with vehicles ranking first among the top 5 goods exported from the UK to Kenya, by the end of 2021, making up 13.2% of all UK goods exported to Kenya, at a value of £41.8 million. This improvement from 2020 when it ranked second among the Top 5 imports from UK shows the strong resilience exhibited by the sector, fostered by companies such as Inchcape.”
