Google Africa has joined forces with C. Moore Media and Allison+Partners to launch the fourth edition of The Future is Female Mentorship Program. This unique initiative aims to empower and support African female tech founders by providing them with resources, opportunities, and mentorship. With applications now open, the program offers a platform for female entrepreneurs to gain insights into PR and communications, VC funding, media relations, and more. The collaboration between Google Africa, C. Moore Media, and Allison+Partners is set to boost the visibility and growth of African women-led startups.
The Future is Female Mentorship Program, launched on Africa Day in 2020 by C. Moore Media International PR, has witnessed a significant increase in applications in recent years. With a growth rate of over 160%, the program has received applications from 36 African countries in 2022. Recognizing the challenges faced by African female tech founders in a male-dominated industry, the program aims to bridge the support gap and provide much-needed expertise and guidance.
Partnerships:
The collaboration with Google Africa aligns with the goals and objectives of the Google for Startups Accelerator: Women Founders Africa Program. This partnership enables selected alumni from the Google program to participate in The Future is Female Mentorship Program. By joining forces, the organizations aim to empower women founders on the continent, offering them the resources and opportunities to scale their startups and address African challenges.
In addition to Google Africa, the fourth edition of the program welcomes the participation of the Salesforce Ventures Impact Fund. Salesforce Ventures has a strong interest in Africa and has invested in several Africa-focused tech startups, including Flutterwave and Andela. As part of the program, Salesforce Ventures Impact Fund will host a session on VC funding for the selected female founders from across Africa, providing valuable insights into securing venture capital for their startups.
