The vibrant energy of over 3000 women filled the air today as the second edition of the ‘What Women Want’ (WWW) Summit kicked off in Nairobi. This three-day event promises to be a powerful platform for learning, sharing, and building a strong network of women from diverse backgrounds across Kenya and beyond.
The summit has garnered the support of East African Breweries PLC (EABL) through their Johnnie Walker #SheWalks initiative. This partnership aims to engage, celebrate, and recognize bold women driving positive change in their communities.
“We understand that empowering women is key to unlocking a more inclusive and prosperous future for everyone,” said Juanita Mramba, EABL Head of Sustainability, in her keynote address. “The #SheWalks platform is our commitment to supporting initiatives that create spaces where women can excel.”
The WWW Summit, hosted by Pink Media, brings together over 50 local and international speakers to lead discussions on topics crucial to women’s advancement. Attendees will delve into workshops and panel sessions covering themes such as leadership, entrepreneurship, achieving work-life balance, and the importance of self-care.
“The WWW Summit is designed to be a space where women can learn, inspire, and be inspired,” explained Pinky Ghelani, Founder of Pink Media and summit host. “We want women to leave here feeling empowered with the tools and support to make their dreams a reality.”
The WWW Summit strategically aligns with the celebration of International Women’s Day, held annually on March 8th, underscoring the global push towards gender equality.
