LOOP DFS has announced a new partnership with OPPO, timed with the launch of the OPPO Reno 12 Series in Kenya. This collaboration aims to provide financing options that make the Reno 12 Series more accessible to Kenyan consumers.

During the launch event on August 22nd, 2024, at the Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi, LOOP DFS outlined its role in offering flexible financing solutions for the new OPPO devices. This partnership is a step towards making high-end smartphones available to more people by reducing the financial barriers typically associated with purchasing such technology.

LOOP Financing Options and Offers

LOOP DFS is providing a cashback offer of 10%, up to KES 6,000, for purchases of the Reno 12 Series above KES 14,499. This offer is available through the LOOP Card or LOOP App, reinforcing LOOP DFS’s position in the smartphone financing market. The offer is part of LOOP DFS’s ongoing efforts to give consumers more flexible payment options when purchasing high-value items.

“We understand the immense value these smartphones bring to their users, from enhancing productivity to enabling creativity, and we want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to experience that value first-hand.” — Sheila Kimani, Chief Commercial Officer at LOOP DFS, during the launch event.

As part of a pre-order campaign, customers who buy any Reno 12 Series device through LOOP DFS will receive up to KES 6,000 cashback along with a pre-order gift. This initiative is intended to encourage early adoption and use of LOOP DFS’s financing services.

This partnership is in line with LOOP DFS’s broader goal of making advanced technology more accessible. By offering financing solutions, LOOP DFS helps reduce the financial strain on consumers who wish to acquire the latest smartphone technology. This collaboration is another move by LOOP DFS to strengthen its presence in the fintech sector by addressing the affordability of technology in Kenya.

LOOP is also currently working on launching “LOOP Flex”, a Buy Now Pay Later Program. This is based on recent promotional material seen at the Reno 12 Launch. This suggests that the official introduction of LOOP Flex is expected within the next few weeks or months. The service will offer users access to instant loans with flexible repayments, no need for guarantors, low interest rates, and a limit of up to KES 100,000.

Conclusion

LOOP DFS’s collaboration with OPPO for the Reno 12 Series launch is centered on providing financing options that facilitate access to advanced technology. The focus is on making high-end smartphones more affordable, demonstrating LOOP DFS’s continued effort to support consumers in accessing the latest innovations through practical financial solutions.
