After launching the OPPO Find N5 during their keynote on February 20, 2025, in Singapore, OPPO also introduced their latest smartwatch – the OPPO Watch X2. This smartwatch is essentially a rebranded OnePlus Watch 3, which was also unveiled in the same week.
Key Differences
At first glance, the OPPO Watch X2 and OnePlus Watch 3 are nearly identical in terms of specifications and build quality. The primary differences lie in:
- A slightly altered metal crown
- A Summit Blue color option exclusive to the OPPO Watch X2
Build Quality
The OPPO Watch X2 is crafted with a 46mm premium titanium alloy bezel, which OPPO claims provides scratch resistance while remaining lightweight. The Lava Black variant features a black PVD titanium alloy bezel, while the Summit Blue variant has a dual-color PVD titanium alloy bezel.
The watch body weighs 49.7 grams (without strap) and 81 grams (with strap) for the Lava Black model, while the Summit Blue model is slightly lighter at 76 grams with the strap.
The screen is protected by a 1.25mm-thick sapphire crystal glass, which improves shock resistance and durability. It features a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display with:
- 466 × 466 resolution (310 PPI)
- Peak brightness of up to 2200 nits (activated automatically under strong sunlight in workouts)
- Always-On Display (AOD) support
- Q10 luminescent material, which enhances visibility and reduces eye strain
The OPPO Watch X2 is also certified MIL-STD-810H, meaning it has passed 16 military-grade endurance tests for extreme conditions, including:
- Shock resistance
- Vibration resistance
- Immersion
- Humidity and temperature variations
Battery and Performance
The OPPO Watch X2 is powered by the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset, coupled with an upgraded BES2800BP chip for optimal performance and power efficiency.
OPPO has introduced its Silicon-Carbon battery technology, featuring a 648mAh battery that delivers:
- Up to 5 days in smart mode under standard use
- Up to 3 days in heavy use
- Up to 16 days in power-saving mode
Charging is supported via Watch VOOC Flash Charge, offering:
- 10 minutes of charge for 1-day usage
- Full charge in approximately 80 minutes

Software and Connectivity
The OPPO Watch X2 runs on Google’s Wear OS 5.0, combined with ColorOS Watch 7.0, ensuring a seamless software experience. It supports:
- Google Assistant

Health and Fitness Tracking
The OPPO Watch X2 is equipped with OPPO’s self-developed OPPO Sense algorithm, offering real-time health monitoring with:
- ECG Analysis (to be supported via OTA update in Q2 2025)
- Vascular health monitoring
- 24/7 heart rate tracking
- Sleep tracking (including REM monitoring, respiratory rate, and snoring risk assessment)
- Body temperature sensing
- Blood oxygen (SpO2) monitoring
- Fall detection
The smartwatch integrates seamlessly with Google Fit and Strava for fitness tracking. It supports over 100 workout modes, with pro-level tracking for sports like running, skiing, tennis, badminton, swimming, cycling, and more.
Pricing and Availability
The OPPO Watch X2 is available in two color variants:
- Lava Black – Priced at SGD 499 ($374)
- Summit Blue – Priced at SGD 549 ($411)
Sales began in Singapore immediately, while China will start selling it from February 26, 2025. There is no official confirmation about its availability in Kenya, but based on OPPO’s recent launches, it might not be released in this market.
Final Verdict
The OPPO Watch X2 is a premium smartwatch with top-tier build quality, excellent durability, and advanced health tracking features. The inclusion of Wear OS, a rotating metal crown, dual-frequency GPS, and military-grade certification makes it one of the best smartwatches OPPO has released to date.
However, it faces competition from the OnePlus Watch 3, which offers nearly identical features at a similar price point. The main differentiating factor for the OPPO Watch X2 is its exclusive Summit Blue color option and OPPO-branded software refinements.
