The Mastercard Foundation has unveiled a new podcast, Transcending Boundaries – Conversations with Reeta Roy, aimed at inspiring the next generation of leaders through intimate, thought-provoking conversations with some of the world’s most influential figures.
The eight-episode series, hosted by Reeta Roy, President & CEO of the Mastercard Foundation, offers listeners an inside look at the lives, experiences, and leadership philosophies of changemakers, including former heads of state, human rights advocates, and social innovators. The conversations explore the values and defining moments that shaped their leadership journeys, providing valuable lessons for aspiring leaders.

The podcast debuts with a powerful first episode featuring Nobel Laureate and former President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. A pioneer in governance and women’s rights, President Sirleaf shares insights into the mentors who guided her, the values that sustained her, and how personal resilience fueled her leadership.
“I did have the experience of being strong in success while maintaining self-confidence in defeat,” says Sirleaf. “My mother’s strength, in being able to provide that care and, at the same time, coach her children to stay focused on education and preparation, shaped my own strength of character.”
