OPPO Kenya has launched a nationwide Easter Sale campaign running from April 17 to April 26, 2025. The campaign, announced on April 17, features exclusive discounts on select OPPO devices and introduces a unique youth engagement initiative at the University of Nairobi (UoN). Through partnerships with LOOP DFS and Onfon Mobile, OPPO is not only cutting prices but also making smartphones more financially accessible through installment plans and campus events.
Discounted Devices Available on LOOP App
As part of the Easter Sale, OPPO is offering reduced prices for the following models when purchased via the LOOP app:
- OPPO A38
- OPPO Reno11 F 5G
- OPPO Reno12 F 5G
The LOOP partnership allows customers to access these deals directly on the app, aligning with OPPO’s strategy of enhancing digital-first retail experiences. The campaign also ties into LOOP’s wider strategy of supporting device financing and e-commerce growth in Kenya.
Spotlight: OPPO A5 Pro – Built for the Real World
At the center of the campaign is the new OPPO A5 Pro, a device OPPO positions as redefining durability in the budget segment. Retailing from KES 29,999, the phone is now available across OPPO stores, e-commerce platforms, and the official OPPO Kenya website.

The A5 Pro boasts several durability enhancements including:
- Double-Tempered Glass: Offers 160% improved drop resistance compared to standard protective glass.
- Scratch Resistance: Designed to resist abrasions from common items like keys and coins.
- Aluminum Alloy Shield: The AM04-grade frame protects internal components and enhances heat dissipation.
Unprecedented Water and Dust Resistance
The A5 Pro is rated IP66, IP68, and IP69, meaning it can handle:
- High-pressure water jets
- High-temperature sprays
- Submersion in up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes
OPPO claims this is one of the highest durability ratings on any smartphone in its price segment. The company says it has carried out rigorous testing, including spraying the phone with 100 liters per minute of water from all angles and blasting it with 80°C jets to simulate extreme conditions.
Financing Options with Onfon Mobile
OPPO is also targeting budget-conscious consumers with flexible device financing plans through Onfon Mobile’s “Lipa Pole Pole” service. The initiative allows buyers to acquire devices with a 20% deposit and pay the balance in manageable installments.

- OPPO A5 Pro: KES 6,200 deposit
- OPPO A3x (4GB+64GB): KES 3,200 deposit
- OPPO A3x (4GB+128GB): KES 3,700 deposit
- Reno13 F (8GB+256GB): KES 7,700 deposit
The financing plan positions OPPO’s lineup as one of the most accessible in the market, particularly for young people and first-time smartphone buyers.
Campus Activation at University of Nairobi
As part of its youth engagement, OPPO conducted a university activation campaign at the University of Nairobi. The event featured a Football Dribble Challenge, organized in collaboration with OnPhone Mobile, where participants could win OPPO merchandise and even smartphones.
OPPO Kenya’s PR Manager Fredrique Achieng described the broader strategy as delivering “more than just offers” by combining discounts with real-life interactions and activities.
