Africa Tech Summit London Returns June 6 to Connect African Startups with Global Capital

The Africa Tech Summit London is set to return on June 6, 2025, marking its 9th edition with a strong focus on unlocking international capital for African tech ventures. Held at the London Stock Exchange, the summit will bring together over 350 investors, founders, and industry leaders to discuss the evolving dynamics of African innovation, investment flows, and global scalability.

A Critical Moment for African Tech Ventures

As Africa’s startup ecosystem continues to demonstrate resilience amid global uncertainty, the Africa Tech Summit aims to offer a timely platform for entrepreneurs and investors navigating the continent’s funding recovery. Despite a funding slowdown since 2022, new data reveals signs of a rebound. According to Africa: The Big Deal, African startups raised $343 million in April 2025 alone, the second-highest April total since 2022. From January to April 2025, total funding stood at $803 million, a 43% increase compared to the same period last year.

Investor confidence also appears to be returning, with over 225 unique investors participating in deals across the continent in early 2025. If this trend continues, total funding is expected to exceed 2024 figures.

“The funding taps may have slowed, but the appetite for scalable, impactful African solutions hasn’t gone anywhere,” said Andrew Fassnidge, Founder of Africa Tech Summit. “In a complex, shifting economic landscape, we need bold conversations, real opportunities, and capital that moves.”

High-Level Discussions, Global Institutions, and Emerging Technologies

This year’s summit is backed by heavyweight partners including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Flutterwave, Fincra, Tola Mobile, Bank of America, the UK Department for Business and Trade, Payaza Africa, Wimbart, and TLP Advisor.
