LOOP is running an Easter promotion that puts Samsung’s latest flagship within reach through its buy now, pay later product, LOOP FLEX. Customers can purchase the Samsung Galaxy S26 through the LOOP Discover marketplace and spread the cost across flexible instalments, with a complimentary Galaxy Watch 8 or Galaxy Buds 4 included in the deal through participating dealers such as Ropem Phones.
The Galaxy S26 series, which launched in Kenya in March following its global unveiling at Galaxy Unpacked 2026 in San Francisco, starts at approximately KES 110,000 for the standard model and climbs to upwards of KES 150,000 for the Ultra variant. These are not impulse-buy prices, which is precisely where LOOP FLEX comes in. The BNPL product, launched last year in partnership with global insurtech bolttech, lets customers finance devices and pay over time, with built-in protection against theft, accidental damage, and mechanical breakdown.
LOOP did not disclose the specific instalment terms, interest rates, or total cost of ownership for the Galaxy S26 under FLEX in its announcement. Prospective buyers would be wise to confirm these details directly through the LOOP app before committing, particularly given that Kenya’s BNPL sector now falls under Central Bank of Kenya regulation following the signing of the Business Laws (Amendment) Bill in December 2024.
Beyond smartphones, LOOP Discover is running a broader set of Easter-themed lifestyle deals across its partner merchants. Dining offers include 10 per cent off meals at Uncle Nene’s, while Escape Room is offering up to 20 per cent off hangouts on select days. Generation Techzone has discounts of up to KES 15,000 on electronics, KES 5,000 on smartphones, and KES 7,300 on smartwatches. Talanta Sports and Mandevu are each offering 10 per cent off selected products, and Hotpoint is running a promotion for customers who pay through the LOOP app, card, or LOOP FLEX.
On the events side, LOOP has partnered with MOOKH to offer discounted tickets on featured listings including Muze Open Air on the Beach, Too Early For Birds, Family BBQ Festival 2.0, Gondwana KE, and Akili Kids Treasure Hunt Talentmania.
The seasonal push reflects LOOP’s ongoing effort to position itself as more than a payments app. Since rebranding from NCBA LOOP into a standalone fintech entity, the company has steadily built out a lifestyle commerce layer through Discover, aiming to become the kind of super-app where transactions, financing, and curated offers sit under one roof. Whether this strategy translates into sustained engagement beyond promotional periods remains the bigger question.
For now, the Galaxy S26 deal is the headline draw. A flagship Samsung phone on manageable instalments, bundled with a free wearable or pair of earbuds, is a compelling proposition, provided the fine print on repayment terms holds up to scrutiny.
