How to open a Jubilee Money Market Fund (KES) account online, step by step

A step-by-step guide to opening a Jubilee Money Market Fund (KES) account online: JAMHub, paybill 4103749, fees, minimums and withdrawals.

Opening a Jubilee Money Market Fund (KES) account is done entirely online and it’s really simple. You can start with as little as just KES 100, which you can fund through MPESA paybill or bank transfer. Jubilee Asset Management, which runs the fund, quoted an effective annual yield of 10.41% as at 16th September 2026. This is the process from start to first deposit, and what happens after.

Before you start

You need:

  1. a phone number,
  2. an email address and
  3. a few documents; namely your ID, KRA PIN certificate, proof of banking which could be a bank statement, confirmation letter or cancelled cheque and your signature.

The good about the Jubilee Money Market Fund (KES) is that it is licensed by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA), which therefore means your capital is always protected. Your money doesn’t sit directly with Jubilee Asset Management, it is held separately by the custodian, Standard Chartered Bank of Kenya.

Step 1: go to JAMHub Digital Portal

Jubilee Asset Management’s self-service investment portal is called the JAMHub digital portal, which is live at invest.jubileeinsurance.com. It runs on a browser, which gives you the option to access it on your phone, tablet or personal computer.

Step 2: enter your personal details

Once you’ve logged in to the JAMHub Digital portal, you will be taken to an investment fund screen. Select the Jubilee Money Market Fund (KES) as your preferred account, click ‘next’, and select ‘individual account’ and proceed to fill in your details as accurately as possible. The steps are simple, key in your name as it appears on your national ID, KRA Pin, date of birth and nationality. You will receive a 6-figure OTP and you will be asked to key in your email for verification.

Step 3: upload your documents

Upload the identification and verification documents the portal asks for. Jubilee Asset Management will review your documents and confirm that everything’s okay before proceeding to set up an account for you.

Step 4: fund the account

There are two ways to start investing.

By M-PESA: go to Lipa na M-PESA, choose Pay Bill, enter business number 4103749, and enter your Jubilee Asset Management investment account number as the account number. The investment account number is issued when your Jubilee Money Market Fund (KES) account is opened.

By bank transfer via RTGS, with your investment account number as the reference.

The minimum first deposit is KES 100. Top-ups can be KES 100, KES 1,000, KES 5,000 or any amount above that. Deposits received before 9:00 AM on a business day are valued that day; anything after 9:00 AM is valued the next business day, at the fund’s daily valuation around midday. Money sent on a Saturday is valued on Monday.

What it costs

Jubilee Asset Management charges no initial fee, no exit fee, no performance fee and no transaction costs on funds moving in or out. While Jubilee Asset Management charges management fees, the 10.41% return you get, is actually net of all their charges. That should give you confidence as an investor.

However, the Kenya Revenue Authority takes 15% of the interest you earn, deducted at source by the fund before the interest lands in your account. It is charged on interest only, never on the money you deposited. On KES 10,000 of interest you get to keep KES 8,500.

How to withdraw

Log in to the JAMHub Digital portal and submit a withdrawal request. You can access your money within 2 working days after you’ve made your request, making the Jubilee Money Market Fund (KES) a great investment opportunity for those looking for liquidity.

There is no minimum holding period and no penalty for withdrawing. You can take out part of your balance or all of it.

What to keep an eye on

Jubilee Asset Management publishes a monthly factsheet that shows performance of the Jubilee Money Market Fund (KES). You also receive a statement every month so you can check and verify that everything’s up to par.

While rates may vary based on various economic factors, the Jubilee Money Market Fund (KES) remains one of the strongest performing unit trusts when compared to similar peers.

You can start investing with as little as KES 100, grow that amount each month and if you reinvest the interest without withdrawing, you will end up making more because of the power of compounding interest.
