Galaxy Tab S12+ launches in Kenya from KES 176,000, Ultra from KES 203,200

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S12+ is listed from KES 176,000 in new Kenyan launch pricing, while the larger Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra starts at KES 203,200. The local launch lists two storage options for each of Samsung’s new Android tablets. Sales start on 7th October 2026.

When we covered the global unveiling last month, Kenyan pricing was still missing. The figures in that story were conversions of US launch prices. The new local figures give buyers a different budget to work with.

The Kenyan price list

ModelRAMStorageListed Kenyan price
Galaxy Tab S12+12GB256GBKES 176,000
Galaxy Tab S12+12GB512GBKES 203,200
Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra12GB256GBKES 203,200
Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra12GB512GBKES 230,300

All four have the same amount of RAM, the working memory apps use while running. Storage is the space for installed apps and saved files. Moving from 256GB to 512GB adds KES 27,200 on the Plus and KES 27,100 on the Ultra.

The most useful comparison sits at KES 203,200. That buys either the S12+ with 512GB of storage or the Ultra with 256GB. You are choosing between more built-in space for files and a larger screen, without changing the listed RAM. Samsung also lists microSD expansion up to 2TB for both models, so buyers can add a memory card for more file storage.

The S12+ has a 12.6-inch screen and the Ultra a 14.6-inch screen. Both use AMOLED panels, which light each pixel individually, and refresh up to 120 times a second for smoother scrolling and pen movement. They share MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 processor and launch with Android 17 and One UI 9, Samsung’s interface on top of Android.

What the tablet price includes

The S Pen, Samsung’s stylus for handwriting and drawing, is included with both tablets. The Pro Keyboard and Book Cover Keyboard Slim are sold separately, as is the 45W power adapter for their fastest supported charging. Anyone planning to type for long periods should price the keyboard alongside the tablet before deciding what they can afford.

Samsung’s Multi Window layout can put three apps on screen at once. You could keep a lesson playing beside your notes and another app, using the extra screen space to avoid switching between them. Note Assist can summarise text in Samsung Notes, although it needs a Samsung account and at least 200 characters for a summary; functions vary by region and language.

Samsung also includes Adobe Photoshop, its image-editing app, with four months of the premium mobile subscription. A six-month Google AI Pro trial adds access to Google’s paid AI service. These promotions have terms that vary by country and region, and Kenyan eligibility needs checking before treating either subscription as part of the purchase. They are temporary benefits, with paid use after the free period subject to the service’s terms.

Samsung’s US launch announcement promises up to seven generations of operating system upgrades and seven years of security updates. That support commitment is useful for an expensive device intended to last several years, although update timing varies by model and market.

For a buyer comparing the listed configurations, the Plus is the cheaper entry point and the Ultra buys more screen space. At KES 203,200, the choice is particularly clear: 512GB on the Plus or 256GB on the Ultra. A purchase quote should identify the connectivity version and include any keyboard or charger you need, because the tablet price alone does not establish the cost of the setup you will actually use.
