It is funny I have never reviewed a Huawei device. Not that I have never used one. Infact I have had a Huawei tablet for almost two years now. Never thought of reviewing it. But I’m starting in on tablets very soon. So tell me which tablet you want reviewed and I’ll look for it. This post, however, is about the Huawei P8 Lite which I just now realised you can get for as low as Ksh. 17000 on Jumia.
Jumia Mobile week is currently underway. And from it I’m getting to discover phones and writing about the ones that have caught my eye. The Huawei P8 Lite is a slightly stripped down variant of last year’s Huawei P8 Flagship. I know the Huawei P9 is already here. But let’s talk about this P8 Lite.
- 5.0 HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection
- 1.2GHz Octa Core Processor
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB internal storage
- 13MP Back camera
- 5MP front camera
- 2200mAh battery
I love the design and finish. But that is expected as this is a mid-range variant of a flagship.
The Ksh. 16999 deal is a good one. But looks like it is sort of something only one or two people will get. I don’t know how Jumia choose their prices.
The phone comes running Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and is upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. And for me that’s a plus when compared to say the TECNO Boom J8.
But the J8 definitely beats it in battery life.
Tell me what you think of the Huawei P8 lite. You want more Huawei Phones reviewed right? Well I’ll start with the Huawei GR3 soon.
Buy the Huawei P8 Lite right now from Jumia.
