TECNO PhonePad 3 Officially Available in Kenya

We had been introduced to the then upcoming PhonePad 3. It is now officially available in Kenya and will be retailing at about Ksh. 22,500. You can find it in TECNO shops already.

TECNO says the device is made with the intention of facilitating business communications and productivity for its users on-the-go. As TECNO’s best 7-inch phablet, it has lots of upgrades in performance and design compared to last year’s PhonePad 7E.

PhonePad 3 comes with a well-crafted brushed metallic body and my expectations have been pointed towards the fact that it will be more slim than you we can imagine?

Specifications:

  • Display – 7” HD IPS
  • Resolution – 720*1280 IPS
  • Operating System – Android 6.0
  • Processor – MT8735W Cortex A53 Quad-Core, 1.3GHz,

Below is as shared by TECNO’s Press Release concerning this new device:

Display:

TECNO PhonePad 3 is equipped with a 7-inch HD display. And it has a high screen-to-body ratio reaching to 74%. Everything just becomes bigger and clearer when I’m reading.

Business:

The device, customized for the business elite, is also pre-installed with oriented applications making it a perfect business assistant. Camcard helps users easily manage business cards and find others’ contact details. CamScanner comes in handy for scanning documents and taking records at a single tap. It’s so convenient to read, modify and edit files with WPS Office on such a big display.

TECNO is really pushing it as a business device.

Security:

The device comes with improved security with its fingerprint sensor located just below the power button. The PhonePad 3 can be unlocked in a single step. You can get the scrolling feature with the fingerprint sensor as a touchpad for photos and browser.

Cameras:

Equipped with a 13MP rear camera, PhonePad 3 delivers high-quality and vibrant images on its 7-inch IPS HD screen. A larger aperture allows more light onto the camera sensor and enhances the camera’s ability to take superb low-light photos. I feel so proud when I’m going to share images with friends and families.

Battery:

The PhonePad 3 comes with a massive 4100mAh non-removable battery which lasts up to two days of business usage at a single charge. On a continuous music and video playback, the device has a power saving mode which enables it to stay up to 48hrs and 12h30mins respectively.

Internet:

The PhonePad 3 can connect to ultra-fast 4G LTE networks to surf and stream at speeds. It is very fast to share files and business information across the internet.

Personally I am interested in checking it out, seeing its work-arounds and performance and generally establishing to you guys whether or not it is a considerable business assistant as it is being touted to be.

What are your thoughts on it?
