I remember being so impressed with the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL on launch because of the DxO mark it got. At 98, I was shook. I know people, including MKBHD have talked about DxO ratings and why they are unfair ways of rating cameras (His video explains DxO rating system aptly). But right after Samsung and Apple announced that the Note 8 and iPhone 8 both had a 94 DxO mark, I went and read about the rating system.

So when Google said 98, I was freaking out. How they managed to get such a high number for such small lenses baffled me.

Turns out, there was so much done to make the Pixel 2 camera that good. I really want myself a Pixel 2 smartphone. But that’s pretty impossible. Though I am glad the YouTube channel “Nat and Friends” have the best video explanation of how Google made the Pixel 2 camera. From hardware, tests, software, and everything else:
