Xiaomi announces Mi A2 and A2 Lite Android One Devices
Xiaomi has announced two new replacements for the Xiaomi Mi A1 from last year. And their approach this time round is sort of different. There’s an A2 with a normal 6 inch 18:9 display. And then there’s an A2 Lite with a 5.84 inch 19:9 display plus a notch.
It seems the company is giving people who love the notch an option here as both devices pack good specs. Also as usual, the devices are very attractively priced: The A2 will cost about $290 while the A2 Lite will cost about $179 for the 3GB version, and $270 for the 4GB RAM version. Both are expected to go on sale in over 40 countries, although they are already available in Spain.

If you’ve been keen on getting a device with USB type-C then the A2 is your go-to option. But if you don’t mind the now aging micro-USB port, then the A2 Lite is what you’ll go with, and while at it, you’ll enjoy better battery life at a nicer price.
Looking forward to when they’ll be available in Kenya. Which one do you prefer between the two? Personally, I would get the A2 Lite, but the fact that it doesn’t have a USB type-C port is a no no.
