Update: NOTE 9S now available.
Xiaomi Kenya has confirmed that the NOTE 9S and the Mi 10 Series (with the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro) will be launched on April 29th. This is good progress for the company who very often delay with bringing in products to the Kenyan market. Though there’s many devices they’re yet to bring to the market, this at least shows commitment. Here are the tweets:
The Mi 10 Series will the high end devices for everyone looking for flagship series from the company. For example the Mi 10 Pro packs a 90Hz display, a Snapdragon 865 chip, up to 12GB of RAM, and that crazy 108MP camera. This will be Xiaomi Kenya’s most expensive unit locally available. The company hasn’t confirmed the prices for the Mi 10 Series, so we will wait to see. However, I don’t think the company will be paying much attention to the Mi 10 series because of pricing. I think most of the marketing work will be on the Redmi NOTE 9s which is just incredible.
The Redmi NOTE 9S comes to compete with all 48MP camera devices launched recently. It competes with the Huawei Y9s, it competes with the TECNO Camon 15 Series, and with the Infinix NOTE 7 series. It beats all of them in terms of the processors used, and in the USB type-C port which we already decided is a must have.
