Sony has recently unveiled the PS5 after many months of teasing, and expectations from customers. Back in January, the company unveiled the PS5 logo, leading to a lot of conversation and memes. 6 months later, the company has showcased the product, and people are amazed by the new extremely futuristic design. Of course, this has led to numerous memes online on the design, and the look of the console. Many have made WiFi router sandwiches to mock the design.
With the PS5, the company has decided to have two different models – one supporting discs, and one that’s fully digital. The difference in pricing between the two may not be very huge though – but this is all speculative since the company hasn’t unveiled any pricings, or made any hints on the same. The expected prices in the table below are based on speculations and will be updated to reflect official pricing once Sony makes that known.
The accessories of the PS5 are a big thing with this release. The DualSense controller Sony unveiled back in April will ship with the new console. The controller has haptic feedback, speakers, adaptive triggers, an in-built microphone, a headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.
There’s also a new charging station for the controllers, a HD camera with the PS5’s aesthetics, a remote control for media playback, plus a new pair of headsets called the Sony Pulse 3D.
