TECNO’s 7-inch Battery Champ now on sale for KES. 15,000

TECNO Mobile Kenya has officially introduced its latest addition to its battery-centric Pouvoir series. The Pouvoir 4 features an enormous 6000mAh battery which TECNO claims is capable of powering the phone for four days straight with just a single charge. The phone is equipped with a Quad camera setup. There is a 13MP main lens, two 2MP cameras and an AI lens at the rear. TECNO hasn’t specified what these extra lenses do. At the front, there’s an 8MP dual flash camera.

The company has said that the Pouvoir 4 offers a great entertainment experience – be it gaming or when watching videos thanks to its 7-inch HD Display. The phone runs TECNO’s custom HIOS 6.0 on top of Android 10.

The phone is on sale at leading retailers countrywide.

Commenting on the launch Dickson Ireri, East Africa Regional Training manager said: “TECNO Mobile fans in the local market love consuming video content on their smartphones and want great specs for gaming. As a brand founded on innovation and AI technologies, we are confident that the new Pouvoir 4 will appeal to our innovation-focused consumers. With its impressive battery life, excellent memory and processor that ensures zero lags and smooth mobile experience, Pouvoir comes power-packed at an affordable price, giving users the best possible value for money.”

The Pouvoir 4 comes with 32GB internal storage + 3GG RAM. TECNO says this means Pouvoir 4 users will get lag-free gaming experience. The company has also said there are other core gaming features for gamers built into the system including a magic button that can be used as fire key in arcade/shooting games, a specific PUBG related Intelligent scheduling of system resources to ensure a high-quality PUBG game experience and a Screen Off Gaming Mode that saves more than 50% of the power.

With the HD display and the 6000mAh battery, we should expect good battery life. Hopefully, TECNO will include a powerful processor, and a decent amount of RAM to make it a good performer for gaming. Having a 7-inch display that’s decent enough, and having the device being able to play big games at a good price point could make it a target for many people who cannot pour out lots of cash to buy gaming phones
