Vivo V19 with Dual Selfie Cameras, and Super-fast charging launching soon

Vivo Smartphone Kenya has announced it will be launching the vivo V19, its first-ever Dual Punch Hole Camera phone, on June 24th. This comes after a series of devices they’ve already introduced including the V17 Pro, and the Vivo Y19.

The company says that the upcoming V19 will be a camera-centric smartphone that will focus on improvements in low light photography. There also happens to be a V19 NEO variant, but the company hasn’t mentioned if this will make its way to Kenya too. However, fingers crossed.

The V19 is a pretty impressive device. At the back, there’s an L-shaped Quad Rear Camera Setup, with an LED flash. The setup includes a 48MP Primary Camera, an 8MP Ultra-wide Angle lens, a 2MP Macro Lens, and another 2MP Bokeh lens for depth.

Running Android 10, the device is powered by a Snapdragon 712 with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of fast UFS 2.1 storage. You won’t be having battery issues with the device because of the huge 4500mAh battery. But that’s not the most impressive part. The icing to everything is the 33W fast charger included in the box. Fast chargers are amazing, as I’ve already bickered in other posts. I am also glad there’s USB Type-C, so no complaints here.

The most unique feature of this new device is its front cameras. There are two front cameras: a 32MP main lens and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. These seem to be the same from the Vivo V17 Pro. And those were good front cameras. However, instead of it being in a pop-up mechanism, this time they’re in a punch-hole format. So like a long pill-shaped punch-hole. I can’t wait to see this implementation.

Arthur Xian, the CEO of vivo Smartphone Kenya in the release says, “vivo is committed to innovating with the consumer in mind, and V19 reflects our deep understanding of consumers’ needs. With industry-leading selfie technology, a beautiful design, and strong performance, V19 is perfect for young consumers who care about the camera and entertainment features.”

With the new device, the company says that it’ll be continuing with its innovative streak of having several ‘firsts’ in one of the most competitive consumer markets.
