Safaricom recently opened up their 5G network for commercial access. This came in over a year after the company had started 5G trials in the country.
You can now access Safaricom 5G in some parts of the country – as shared down below – provided you have a 5G ready device. The company also launched 5G WiFi targeting homes and businesses.
Some devices from OPPO and Xiaomi already automatically access the network. Meanwhile, Samsung, TECNO, Infinix, Vivo and Apple’s iPhones will need to wait for software updates from their respective manufacturers to be able to access the network.
