TECNO’s new Phantom V Flip 2, launched alongside the Phantom V FOLD 2, brings a practical and compact foldable design to the market, offering a 3.64-inch cover display and a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED main screen. The cover display allows quick access to apps without needing to unfold the device, while the inner screen provides a seamless experience with its 120Hz refresh rate. The device maintains a compact footprint, weighing 196 grams and measuring 16 mm when folded. Its build includes an eco leather back, an aluminum frame, and a steel hinge for added durability.
The Phantom V Flip 2 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset and comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The dual-camera system includes a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an ultrawide 50 MP lens with a 114-degree field of view, allowing users to capture wide shots. For selfies, the phone has a 32 MP front camera with LED flash, positioned on the inner display. Video recording supports up to 4K at 30fps and 1080p at 60fps.
Battery life is supported by a 4,720 mAh battery, with 70W wired fast charging that promises 50% charge in 15 minutes. The device also comes equipped with stereo speakers, Hi-Res audio, and runs Android 14 with Tecno’s HiOS 14 skin. The Phantom V Flip 2 is expected to be released in September 2024, starting in Africa, with further availability in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.
