Insights At a Glance:

  • IP69-rated & ArmorShell protection make the C75X ultra-rugged — survives drops, dust storms, and deep water.
  • Massive 5600mAh battery with 45W fast charging and reverse power share; runs Android 15 with realme UI 6.
  • Powered by a Helio G81 Ultra chip, 120Hz display, 50MP camera, and up to 24GB Dynamic RAM — but still no 5G.

Realme is making waves again in Kenya, quite literally this time, with the launch of the Realme C75X — a phone that isn’t just a slightly watered-down version in some aspects and a spec bump in others compared to its sibling, the C75, but also a rugged daredevil built to brave the elements.

In a market that’s slowly filling up with lookalike phones chasing the 5G dream, Realme is taking a slightly different path: beefing up durability, maxing out battery endurance, and tossing in some AI sparkle — all while keeping things solidly in the 4G lane. And yes, that’s a bit of a bummer when competitors are already flexing 5G in this price range.

But don’t write off the Realme C75X just yet.

With IP69 water and dust resistance, the Realme C75X is one of the most waterproof phones you can buy without breaking the bank. This is more than just a marketing number — it’s been drop-tested, dunked in water for hours (up to 60!), and even comes with SonicWave Water Ejection tech — think tiny speaker vibrations kicking out trapped water like magic.

Design-wise, it’s a looker. You’ve got two eye-catching options: Coral Pink, inspired by sun-dappled underwater reefs, and Oceanic Blue, channeling deep-sea mystery. The slim 7.99mm frame and geometric back design make it look anything but rugged — though it very much is. That ArmorShell build and metal inner frame let it survive 1.8-meter drops and 150 tumbles in lab tests. Think of it as your everyday carry that laughs in the face of gravity.

Under the hood, it’s powered by the Helio G81 Ultra chipset, paired with up to 24GB Dynamic RAM (8GB physical + 16GB virtual) and up to 256GB storage. Not flagship-fast, but solid enough for everyday multitasking, gaming, and keeping your 17 favorite apps running in the background without a hitch.

The 6.67-inch 120Hz display, up from 90Hz on the C75, is easy on the eyes — literally — thanks to full brightness DC dimming and hardware-level low blue light protection. On the back sits a 50MP main camera with enough tricks to keep casual photography fun: from underwater mode to dual-view video and even a tilt-shift effect. The 5MP selfie camera is basic but it should get the job done.

Oh, and did we mention the battery? A massive 5600mAh cell, down from 6000mAh on the C75, keeps it alive for days, and Realme says it can withstand 1,000 charge cycles while still holding 80% health. Top it up with 45W fast charging, and you’re ready to go from zero to full in about 87 minutes. Reverse charging? Yes, you can juice up your friend’s phone too.

Realme Kenya hasn’t confirmed the local pricing just yet, but given the C75’s current starting price of KES 21,648, we expect the C75X to hover around that.
