Insights At a Glance:
- TECNO has listed several POVA, POP, SPARK, and CAMON devices as having received the latest security updates this June.
- Despite the June listing, users β including CAMON 30 owners β confirm their phones are still on the May 2025 security patch.
- No shoutout yet for the CAMON 40 series or TECNOβs foldables, which are notably missing from the official list.
TECNO Mobile has updated its list of smartphones that have received the βlatestβ security updates as of June 2025 β and as expected, itβs a familiar lineup of budget and midrange devices. However, a closer look suggests that βlatestβ may not mean June 2025βs Android security patch, but rather the latest available update TECNO has rolled out β likely the May 2025 patch, based on firsthand user reports.
According to several CAMON 30 series owners on Reddit, the most recent security patch currently on their phones is dated May 2025 β which seems to align with TECNOβs internal release cycle. So even though these models are listed under the June update section, the actual patch version is likely a step behind Googleβs official security bulletin for June.
Hereβs the list of TECNO phones officially marked as βup to dateβ this June:
- TECNO POVA Series: POVA 5, POVA 6, POVA 6 Neo, POVA 6 Pro 5G
- POP Series: POP 8, POP 9
- SPARK Series: SPARK 20C, SPARK 20 Pro+, SPARK 30, SPARK 30 Pro, SPARK Go 2024, SPARK Go 1
- CAMON Series: CAMON 20, CAMON 20 Pro, CAMON 30 4G, CAMON 30S, CAMON 30 5G
Notably absent? TECNOβs more premium models. No foldables, and no mention of the recently launched CAMON 40 series β a surprising omission considering these are some of TECNOβs flashiest devices. Multiple users confirm their CAMON 40 devices are still stuck on the April 2025 security patch, which lines up with the fact that the series isnβt listed on TECNOβs own update tracker yet.
This trend isnβt new. The same pattern showed up in April and May, where a rolling list of POVA, POP, SPARK, and CAMON 20/30 phones got love β but newer or flagship-tier phones were MIA. So while TECNO does maintain a steady update schedule (kudos for that), itβs clear that update timing and prioritization donβt necessarily favor the top-shelf models.

Bottom line? If youβre rocking a recent CAMON device, chances are youβre not on the latest Google security patch β and TECNOβs June list seems to mean βhereβs what weβve updated lately,β not βyouβre fully patched to June 2025.β
