After teasing us for months, Infinix Kenya has officially rolled out the Infinix NOTE 50S 5G+ into the local market, priced at KES 32,799. Yep, the sleek, futuristic phone that Infinix unveiled in April and comes with mmWave 5G, a 144Hz AMOLED screen, and even a scented back panel, is now available online and in stores across the country.
The NOTE 50S 5G+ is one of the most unusual and feature-packed phones Infinix has made to date. Itโs ultra-thin, power-efficient thanks to the Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset, and ships with Android 15 right out of the box. Youโre also getting a 64MP Sony camera with 4K video recording, JBL-tuned dual speakers, a vibrant 6.78-inch curved AMOLED screen, 8/256GB memory and a 5,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging โ all wrapped in a body that can literally smell nice.

The local launch price of KES 32,799 puts the Note 50S 5G+ in direct competition with other midrangers like the upcoming TECNO Spark 40 Pro+. Still, the NOTE 50S 5G+ has plenty going for it: mmWave 5G support (a rare feature even in premium phones), IP64 water/dust resistance, under-display fingerprint scanning, and even reverse wired charging. And if you opt for the Marine Drift Blue version, you’ll be treated to Infinixโs new โEnergizing Scent-Tech,โ with hints of marine, lemon, lily, amber, and vetiver infused in the back panel.
This isnโt Infinixโs only move in the Kenyan market recently. Just this week, they launched the Infinix HOT 60i, a more budget-friendly phone geared toward everyday users looking for decent specs at a lower cost. You can catch up on the HOT 60i launch here.
And before that, the Infinix Smart 10 and Smart 10 HD were unveiled, marking a push to dominate Kenyaโs entry-level smartphone segment. Read more on the Smart 10 duo here.
With the NOTE 50S 5G+, though, Infinix is clearly targeting users who want more โ not just in specs but also in style and flair. Itโs the kind of phone that aims to stand out on the table, both in looks and smell.

Whether or not the perfume-infused back is your thing, the NOTE 50S 5G+ is one of the most interesting phones weโve seen so far this year. It checks the boxes for power users (144Hz display, strong chipset, large battery), photographers (64MP Sony sensor with 4K), and even the fashion-forward crowd (that slim, curvy body and scent tech). Itโs a bold swing from Infinix โ and one that just might pay off in a market full of look-alike devices.
If youโre looking to upgrade and want something fast, sleek, powerful, and, well, aromatic, the Infinix NOTE 50S 5G+ might just be your next phone.
