Spotify Offer: 2 Months of Premium at KES 169 for a Limited Time

Here’s a little backstory of how I found out about this Spotify Premium offer in Kenya.

Now, I don’t really listen to music on my phone. Rarely. For me, music is a house thing, usually blasting from the TV through the Chromecast with Google TV or sometimes the Google Nest mini speakers. Somewhere along the way, I ditched Spotify Premium for Apple Music, thinking I should focus on one music app. However, Apple Music doesn’t work on Chromecast with Google TV.

So the Spotify app sat there, untouched, except my wife kept using it. And we all played along. Only one strange thing happened: even though I had downgraded to free, Spotify never served me ads on the Chromecast app. Month after month, free music, no interruptions. I was confused, but hey, who complains about free music?

Fast-forward to this week, and Spotify dropped an email saying they “miss me” and offered two months of Premium for just KES 169. That’s the same price students pay per month, but stretched for two whole months. After that, it goes back to KES 339 per month.

Now, this isn’t for brand-new users. It’s a welcome back deal. If you once had Premium, stopped paying more than 30 days ago, and haven’t claimed a comeback offer in the last 24 months, you’re in.

The offer runs until 22nd September 2025. So if you’re like me stuck between apps or secretly enjoying ad-free Spotify without paying, this might be the perfect nudge to jump back in.
