What this means for global users

While Xiaomi hasn’t posted global dates for HyperOS 3 update yet, it typically follows China once early kinks are ironed out. Given the official China beta cadence above, it’s reasonable to expect international builds for many of these models shortly after. Xiaomi explicitly notes that supported models and push timing can be fine-tuned; so always check the Xiaomi Community for localized announcements.

A few clarifications worth noting

  • Naming quirks: You might see “Ultra/Extreme Edition” labels—these mirror China names (e.g., K80 Ultra). Global names can differ.
  • Feature availability: Some HyperOS 3 update tricks (e.g., Super Island coverage, AI wallpapers, iPad desktop) depend on both hardware and third-party app support; not every feature hits every model on day one.
  • Data claims: Performance/animation numbers come from Xiaomi Labs testing; actual results vary by setup.

Keep exploring

The first wave is heavy on China SKUs, but the overlap with global models is a good sign. If you’re on a Redmi/Poco that’s a rebrand of a K-series device, watch manufacturer forums closely for the HyperOS 3 update rollout. Your OTA usually isn’t far behind once China stabilises.
