Samsung Galaxy A07 Price and Specifications in Kenya

-Ad-

Samsung has quietly dropped another budget-friendly Galaxy phone in Kenya, the Galaxy A07 4G, and while it’s meant to sit pretty in the entry-level bracket, it’s not exactly shy about flexing some features we’d normally expect higher up the ladder.

I had to double-check the Galaxy A07 price because, well, phones in Kenya have been getting more expensive every year since 2019. And true to that trend, on Samsung’s official Brandcart Store, the Galaxy A07 looks a little pricey: KES 14,995 for the 4/64GB model and KES 15,995 for the 4/128GB option. But here’s the twist: check other retailers like Phones and Tablets, and you’ll find the same phone for KES 12,600 (4/64GB) and KES 13,900 (4/128GB). Phone Place Kenya also has it at KES 13,000 (4/64GB) and KES 14,500 (4/128GB).

That makes the A07 actually cheaper than the Galaxy A06 at launch, which was valued at KES 12,900 for 4/64GB and KES 14,700 for 4/128GB. So if you’re shopping, it really matters where you buy your phone. The difference can be a whole thousand bob or more.

What’s New on the Galaxy A07?

Samsung didn’t just slap on a new number and call it a day. The Galaxy A07 gets the same 6.7-inch display but with a smoother 90Hz refresh rate, meaning your endless TikTok scrolling or Netflix binges should feel more fluid than before. It’s still HD+ resolution, so don’t expect razor-sharp text, but it’s a big canvas nonetheless.

Powering it all is the MediaTek Helio G99 processor. This is a 6nm chip that has proven itself reliable in budget and midrange devices, smooth enough for day-to-day use, some multitasking, and yes, even light gaming. On the design front, the phone stays sleek at just 7.6mm thin, and you get three color options: Black, Light Violet, and Green. It’s light in the hand at 184g, making it comfy for long usage.

Cameras

This is where Samsung always loves to market itself, even on budget phones. The Galaxy A07 comes with a 50MP main camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor. Nothing groundbreaking, but that 50MP shooter should deliver nice detail in good lighting. For selfies, you’re looking at an 8MP front camera, enough for your WhatsApp profile picture or casual Instagram updates.

Video maxes out at 1080p 30fps, but you do get 120fps slow motion at HD resolution, which is a fun extra.

Software Promise

The most interesting part of the Galaxy A07 is Samsung’s long-term software promise. Samsung says this phone will get 6 years of security updates and 6 Android OS upgrades. That’s flagship-level software support on a budget phone. If you buy it today running Android 15/One UI 7, you could theoretically ride with it all the way to Android 21, assuming your patience holds.

Other Goodies

  • Battery: 5,000mAh is pretty much the standard sweet spot in this segment. Expect solid endurance.
  • IP54 rating: This isn’t full waterproofing, but it means the phone can handle dust and the occasional splash or rainy walk home.
  • Storage options: 64GB or 128GB, both expandable via MicroSD up to a massive 2TB (if you ever find a card that large).
  • Connectivity: Dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, and yes, a 3.5mm headphone jack for those who refuse to let go.

Buyer’s Tip: Where to Buy Galaxy A07 in Kenya

If you’re keen on picking up the Galaxy A07, don’t just rush to the official Samsung Brandcart unless you don’t mind paying the premium. Third-party retailers like Phones and Tablets Kenya are selling it for significantly less, making the A07 not just affordable but actually cheaper than its predecessor at launch.

So, before hitting “checkout,” take a minute to compare prices. Your wallet will thank you.

The Galaxy A07 feels like a natural step up from the A06 with a smoother display, slightly more power, IP54 splash resistance, and that incredible promise of 6 years of updates. And with some retailers pricing it lower than last year’s A06 at launch, this could actually be one of the better budget buys right now.

The catch? Be smart about where you shop. Depending on where you buy, you could either save or overspend a couple of thousand shillings.
