One UI 8 update tracker for Samsung Galaxy devices in Kenya

-Ad-

Samsung has officially kicked off the stable One UI 8 rollout, based on Android 16. The first devices to get the update were the Galaxy S25 series, starting in Korea, then spreading to regions that took part in the beta program. And now, Kenyans are beginning to see the update notification pop up on their own Galaxy S25 series units.

This article isn’t just about the S25 though. We’re turning it into a living tracker for every Galaxy device sold in Kenya that’s eligible for the One UI 8 update. Each time Samsung pushes the update to another device locally, we’ll add it here so you always know what’s rolling out, where, and when.

For the curious, we also have details of which Galaxy devices are eligible for One UI 8 update and the expected rollout timeline based on Samsung’s official schedule in other countries.

Current One UI 8 update status in Kenya

  • Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra → The update is already rolling out in Kenya. Users are reporting OTA notifications, and the official changelog for the region is also live. If you haven’t received it yet, don’t panic. Samsung staggers these things. Try checking manually under Settings → Software update → Download and install.

That’s the only confirmed rollout so far. As soon as more Galaxy devices in Kenya start receiving One UI 8, you’ll see them added right here.

How to stay ahead

  • Keep your phone charged, updated, and on Wi-Fi when possible. It makes updates easier to fetch.
  • Rollouts happen in waves. Even if your friend’s device updated today, yours might only get it a few days later.
  • If you spot the update on your device before we do, send us a tip. We’ll credit the Techish Kenya community for helping keep this tracker alive.

This page will keep evolving with every new rollout. Bookmark it, check back often, and together we’ll track One UI 8’s journey across every eligible Galaxy device in Kenya
