Yesterday, October 28, OPPO officially unveiled ColorOS 16 for the global market. As anticipated, the new software is built entirely atop Google’s latest operating system, Android 16, bringing a host of new features and stability improvements to the brand’s expansive device portfolio.
To get the ball rolling quickly, the company also shared an initial global rollout schedule, detailing which devices will be receiving the new OS and Android 16 between late 2025 and early 2026.
Initial ColorOS 16 rollout schedule targets premium OPPO devices
The first phase of the ColorOS 16 update heavily targets OPPO’s premium Find and Reno lineups, with the rollout kicking off next month. The updates will be delivered in batches, starting in November 2025 and continuing well into the first quarter of 2026.
November 2025
The initial phase focuses heavily on the newest Find and Reno flagships, including foldable devices:

Crucially, key mid-range models are missing
While the initial list is extensive, covering nearly all of the premium and high-end mid-range devices from the past few years, it is notably incomplete.
Missing from this initial rollout schedule are several high-volume devices, especially from the entry-level and budget-focused OPPO A-series. Devices like the popular OPPO A5 series and the newly launched OPPO A6 family—which shipped with ColorOS 15 based on Android 15—are currently not slated to receive the ColorOS 16 update in this first phase.
It is highly probable that this is only the Phase One rollout, focusing on core premium users first. We fully expect a Phase Two announcement to follow sometime in early 2026, which will bring the Android 16 update to the remainder of OPPO’s supported devices, including the A-series.
As always, OPPO notes that the official version will be gradually released on a batch-by-batch basis, and carrier-exclusive models are dependent on carrier update schedules. Users are advised to stay tuned to official channels for the most accurate information.
